You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create a Skoolin account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Skoolin is intended for High School and College/University students. You must register with accurate information about your school and academic level to participate in the peer-voted credibility system.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate registration information, including your real school and academic level
- Promptly notifying us at support@skoolin.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another student, or register with false institutional information. Doing so undermines the credibility system and is grounds for immediate removal.
Skoolin is a student community. The following are strictly prohibited:
🚫 Bullying, harassment, or hate speech of any kind
🚫 Sharing exam papers, answers, or academic materials that violate academic integrity
🚫 Spam, unsolicited advertising, or phishing
🚫 Explicit, adult, or sexually inappropriate content
🚫 Impersonating classmates, teachers, or staff
🚫 Sharing another user's personal information without consent
🚫 Attempting to circumvent or manipulate the credibility voting system
🚫 Using the app for any unlawful purpose
Violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination, at our sole discretion.
You retain full ownership of all private content you create — including your notes, audio recordings, GPA records, and private messages. We claim no intellectual property rights over this content.
By sending messages in chat or participating in group conversations, you grant Skoolin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to transmit and display that content to other participants in that conversation. This licence is solely for operating the chat service and does not permit any other use.
Your private notes, audio recordings, and GPA data are never licensed to Skoolin for any purpose. They remain exclusively yours.
GPA Calculator: Results are provided for personal reference only. Skoolin is not liable for academic decisions made based on calculated results. Always verify important grades with your institution.
Scheduler & Reminders: Skoolin is not responsible for missed deadlines, exams, or events due to technical issues, notification failures, or incorrect user input.
Credibility System: Credibility scores reflect peer votes and are not a guarantee of identity. Skoolin makes no warranties about the accuracy of any user's score.
Audio Notes & Google Drive Sync: When you choose to sync audio notes to Google Drive, you are connecting to Google's services under their own terms. Skoolin is not responsible for data loss within Google's infrastructure.
Skoolin may provide AI-generated content in future features. Any such content is for informational purposes only. Always verify important academic information through official institutional sources.
Premium subscriptions are processed through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and are subject to their respective billing terms.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period — access continues until then
- Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective app store platform
- Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at checkout
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect.
Skoolin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skoolin and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including, but not limited to:
- Loss of academic data or notes
- Missed academic deadlines due to notification failures
- Incorrect GPA/CGPA calculations resulting from user input errors
- Damages arising from content posted by other users
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts — without prior notice — that:
- Violate these Terms of Service or our Community Guidelines
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive activity
- Disrupt the experience of other students
- Attempt to manipulate the credibility voting system
You may delete your own account at any time through the app's settings or by submitting a request on our website. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from active databases within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or platform policies. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of Skoolin after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
