At Skoolin, transparency is a core value. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected across our chat, GPA calculator, schedule manager, notes, and all other student productivity tools.
When you register, we collect your name, email address, school, country, discipline, year level, date of birth, and profile photo. This information is used to create your identity on the platform and power the peer-voted credibility rating system — which matches you with real classmates.
Your GPA records, course schedules, reminders, and alarms are stored securely on encrypted cloud servers solely for your personal tracking and recovery. This data is private and never shared with third parties or other users.
Your audio recordings and text notes are stored in your private cloud account. These files are encrypted and not accessible by Skoolin staff, advertisers, or other users. Premium users may optionally sync audio notes to their personal Google Drive account — this connection is initiated and controlled entirely by you.
Chat messages and shared files are stored to provide seamless history across your devices. We do not use your private conversations for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the chat service.
We collect anonymised usage data (feature interactions, error logs) to diagnose issues and improve the app experience. This data does not include message content or note content.
We process your data to deliver core services. Specifically, your data is used to:
